
At least six people were killed and 10 others injured in a bomb blast that hit Pakistan\'s northwestern district of Hangu on Monday afternoon, local media reported. According to the reports, the incident took place at about 4:15 p.m. local time when a bomb blast targeted a vehicle carrying the brother and companions of a pro-government local elder in Torawari area of Doaba town in Hangu district. The blast destroyed the vehicle completely and killed six people on spots while injuring 10 others. The local people, rescue teams and police personnel shifted the bodies and injured to the nearby hospital. The intensity of the explosion was so high that it was heard many kilometers away from the site. Police and security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search operation. Nature of the blast was not confirmed yet as some local Urdu TV channels reported that it was of suicide nature while some others said it was remote controlled blast. No group or militant organization claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
