
Seven Taliban insurgents were killed and 21 others were arrested in joint operations by Afghan security forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the last 24 hours in different parts of Afghanistan. The Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement today that its forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in different parts of the country, killing seven of Taliban militants and arrested 21 others. The statement added that the operations took place in Kandahar, Maidan Wardak and Paktika provinces. The forces also seized weapons and ammunition during operations. No casualties among the security forces were reported.
