7 people killed, 58 others wounded in Tripoli clashes

Seven people were killed and at least 58 others were injured in ongoing clashes between supporters of the Syrian regime and those opposing it, in Lebanon's northern Tripoli on Tuesday. Official mass media ascribed the high death toll to three days of gunfight in the city. However, the Lebanese army has deployed in the violence-hit city against the backdrop of political and sectarian divisions among people there over the current developments in Syria.
