Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday called for establishing an international protection system to protect Palestinian peoples' basic human rights, putting an end to lands expropriation and arrests.
Abbas was addressing the 34th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
He also called for establishing a mechanism and timetable meant to end the occupation and remove all walls and settlements in the occupied territories in order to achieve the independence of the Palestinian state with al Quds as its capital.
Abbas blasted the recent ineffective solutions to the Palestinian Cause as well as attempts to merge it within a regional framework.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian president raised alarm over Israel's ongoing massive settlement activities and the legalization of land grabbing, in unprecedented dangerous developments that encourage apartheid.
Calling for putting into effect UNSC resolution 2334, Abbas warned of consequences of backing steps that empower the Israeli occupation and jeopardize the two-state solution.
