Abdullah bin Zayed meets Zambian president

The President of Zambia, Michael Chilufya Sata, today received United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the presidential palace in the Zambian capital, Lusaka. Sheikh Abdullah is currently on a three-nation tour of Africa. The UAE Foreign Minister conveyed to President Sata the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his desire to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields. In response, the Zambian President asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa as well as his best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of the UAE, under his wise leadership. President Sata also expressed his appreciation at Sheikh Abdullah\'s visit, which he described as being important, adding that he hoped it would lead to fruitful results in terms of the development of bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples. During the meeting, President Sata and Sheikh Abdullah discussed bilateral relations and also exchanged views on a number of issues of regional and international importance. The UAE Foreign Minister also met separately with the Zambian Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Emmanuel Chenda, the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development, Yamfwa Mukanga, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Effron Chakupa Lungu.
