The UAE works to achieve humanitarian stability and security, not only in the UAE, but also globally, Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces, has said. In a statement ahead of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2013), Sheikh Mohammed said that holding international events in UAE provides a favorable environment for exchanging constructive views and opinions on global issues and constitutes a call to achieve stability and peace, and to address challenges the international security faces, official news agency WAM reported on Saturday. He noted that the event, which kicks off here tomorrow, Sunday, is a milestone in scientific, cultural and economic development and represents one of the elements in diversifying the country’s sources of income. The fact that the event has now been held regularly for the last two decades, Sheikh Mohammed said, reflects the stability and security UAE enjoys and underlines its status in terms of international exhibitions. “We are highly confident that our national youth are capable of contributing to the creative organization of large enterprises and shouldering the responsibility of ably running them. That is why we have spared no effort to invest in the national human capital to qualify it with science and knowledge and to polish its experience with training. This has produced young national human resources which can put our exhibitions and conferences on the international map,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “We continue to have the ambition to live up to the global and international competition, so we have harnessed all capabilities to achieve our strategy and, at the same time, our establishments and competent authorities have played their part to contribute to the success of this strategy.”
