A prominent Afghan analyst stressed the fruitless deployment of the US and foreign forces in his country, and said terrorism has spread across the world after the US invasion of Afghanistan.\"The US performance and attitude towards Muslims has led to the creation of small terrorist groups in the region and in the Arab, Persian Gulf and African countries and even in the European states and the US,\" Javid Kouhestani told FNA on Thursday. He referred to the deteriorating security and economic conditions of the Afghan people, and said, \"Despite some optimism about the presence of foreign forces in Afghanistan in the first years, crisis is widening in the country and the region and the Afghan people are now more concerned about their future than ever.\" Earlier, Iran\'s Supreme Leader had called the continued presence of the US military forces in Afghanistan as the main cause of insecurities in the war-torn country. Speaking at a meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and his companions here in Tehran in July, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei cautioned about the dangerous consequences of the attempts made by the US to establish permanent military bases in the region, specially in Afghanistan. \"Americans are after permanent bases in Afghanistan, which is a dangerous issue because as long the US troops are in Afghanistan, there would be no real security,\" the Leader warned. \"The Afghan people are suffering from the US military presence in their country since this presence is a great pain for them and the entire region,\" Ayatollah Khamenei stated. The Leader further stressed that Afghans are capable of controlling their affairs and determining their fate, and urged a rapid pullout of the foreign troops from Afghanistan, saying that the sooner the aliens withdraw their troops from Afghanistan, the better it will be for the Afghan and the regional people. Most world countries, including Iran, have blamed foreign forces for continued instability in Afghanistan and have called for a complete pullout from the country, which first went under invasion and occupation by the US-led NATO troops in 2001.
