Police during operations in Paktika province 155 km south of Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday, arrested six would-be suicide bombers and thus foiled possible terror attacks in the province, Interior Ministry said in a press release issued here on Wednesday. \"Afghan National Police conducted cleanup operations in the Sultani village of Saroza District of Paktika province yesterday during which six suicide bombers were arrested,\" the press release added. Police also confiscated six suicide vests, five AK-47 assault rifles, one rocket launcher and an explosives-laden vehicle, the press release further said. No police personnel were harmed during the operations. Taliban militants who largely rely on suicide attacks and roadside bombings have yet to comment.
