
The Ajman Executive Council and Emirates Youth Council, have jointly announced the setting up of the Ajman Youth Council as an executive arm of the Emirates Youth Council in the Emirate of Ajman, with the aim of complementing national efforts to set up a youth council in each emirate to boost the capacity of young Emiratis to participate in making nation's future.
The setting up of the Emirates Youth Council and local branches follows the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to listen to the voices of the youth and incorporate them into the drive to make the UAE one of the best countries by 2021.
Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairwoman of Emirates Youth Council, hailed the initiative of the Ajman Executive Council, which backs the efforts of the government and directives of the Vice president to empower youth, boost their loyalty and listen to their ideas to transform them into future programmes in service of the UAE economy.
She added that the youth councils will be executive arms of all youth projects and initiatives, and added that they include different youth categories with high skills to harness all potentials in service of the community.
