Al-Arabi discusses Israeli violations with UN official

The Arab League Secretary-General dr.Nabil Al-Arabi met here on Wednesday with Richard Falk, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on the human rights’situation in the Palestinian occupied territories , who is currently visiting Cairo. During the meeting ,they discussed the developments of the situations in Palestinian territories, particularly the continuous Israeli violations of human rights in Gaza, West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem in addition to Palestine’s request for status of non-member observer state at the United Nations. For his part, Arab League’s Assistant Secretary General Mohamed Sobeih described the visit of Richard Falk as important, noting his decisive and firm support to the principles and charters of the United Nations and its resolutions. Sobeih said that Falk will deliver the keynote address at the opening of the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, tomorrow, Thursday ,November 29.
