Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, stressed that the Iraqi forces strengthened control and supervision over the borders with Jordan and Syria for preventing terrorists who flee from military operations to escape through them. Al Somariyeh News website quoted the Iraqi PM as saying on Wednesday in a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, Abdullah al-Ensour, "We are keen on preventing the infiltration of gunmen in the wake of military operations in Anbar desert out through borders with Jordan and Syria because they are evil wherever they go." Al-Maliki added that Iraq intensifies supervision along the borders with Syria and Jordan, because in case the terrorists infiltrate, they will perpetrate acts similar to what they do in Iraq, pointing out that terrorism does not differentiate between a country or another.
