Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki warned against a dangerous scheme aims at continuing the fragmentation scheme of Sykes-Picot in the region. In a TV interview, al-Maliki said that the major countries and international organizations are acting irresponsibly regarding the crisis in the region and trying to fragment the region once again. \"The world is not familiar with the dimensions of the crisis in Syria and is committing fatal mistake when speaking of arming the Syrian opposition,\" he said, adding that \"the weapons that are being sent to the Syrian opposition started to leak to Iraq through the borders.\" Al-Maliki stressed that the decisions, reached through political mechanisms and peaceful solutions, of the Syrian people will be respected by Iraq, adding that Baghdad does not interfere in any country\'s internal affairs. \"Neither the Arab League nor the international institutions cannot solve any problem if national framework was not respected,\" he said, adding that Iraq sent the army to the Syrian-Iraqi borders as to protect the border areas from the attacks which was waged by \"Jabhet al-Nusra\".
