State Minister for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa stressed support of Bahrain\'s leadership to good governance out of a strong belief in the need to boost the state of law and institutions, enhance public management performance, protect public money and upgrade performance in the public sector. He was speaking at a meeting with MENA-OECD Governance Programme General Coordinator Carlos Conde, on the sidelines of a high-profile meeting of the Steering Group of The Good Governance for Development (GfD) in Arab Countries Initiative, being held in Paris, France. He said the Bahraini government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has placed good governance high on its agenda by working out mechanisms to follow up and assess the Public sector\'s performance and fight corruption. The meeting spotlighted setting up a regional centre for training, concerning governance, so as to improve performance of public establishments in the region.
