
Mariam bint Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, today issued a decision regarding the governance system in the Ministry. The decision aims to provide oversight and guidance on the institutional level for the system of work in the Ministry and define the responsibilities, rights and relations with all the concerned categories within it, to support justice, transparency and institutional accountability to strengthen trust and credibility in the work environment. The decision includes all employees in the Ministry and customers, partners and suppliers, and institutions of society. Its provisions apply to all departments of the Ministry and its offices and organisational units, committees and the working teams formed by ministerial or administrative decisions . Al Roumi said that the adoption of the a system of governance in the Ministry comes within the actions taken by the body towards modernising its systems and aligning them with the foundations of modern management to promote the work of the Ministry, and to apply the best practices and standards of administration. Al Roumi said that the Ministry continues to take all measures directed by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on the development of government work and to make it more effective in order to be able to compete in various global indicators.
