The Kuwait-based interim headquarters of the Secretariat of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) is ready, a senior Kuwaiti diplomat said Tuesday. Ambassador Mohamamd Al-Roumi, Director of the Asia Department at the Foreign Ministry, said the Secretary General of the interim Secretariat of ACD and the rest of the staff would move to the new building next month. Al-Roumi was speaking to reporters in a reception held by the Embassy of Bhutan on the occasion of the country's national day. He said Kuwait's housing the headquarters of the secretariat of the ACD was hailed by the ministerial meeting of the ACD that was held in Bahrain last month. The participants also commended His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's initiative to establish a fund to help the least developed Asian countries.
