The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad, announced that the Armed Forces began to withdraw from the disarmed area along the joint border between Sudan and South Sudan State. In a statement to SUNA, he said that this step comes in implementation of the security arrangements matrix which was signed in Addis Ababa between Sudan and South Sudan. He explained that the disarmed area extends to 10 kilometers inside each of the two countries. It is to be recalled that the two Ministers of Defence signed on Friday in Addis Ababa the security arrangements matrix which included the withdrawal of forces of the two countries out of the disarmed area.
