Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, strongly condemned the terrorist explosion that ripped a police station in the Egyptian city of Al-Mansoura today, killing 14 and injuring more than 130. In a press release, Al-Zayani described the incident as contradicting with the humane principles, values and ethics. He said the GCC member states do denounce the brutal act that was designed to destabilize Egypt, terrify its people and derail the current efforts aiming to bring about peace, security and stability. He expressed the GCC confidence that the Egyptian security forces are able to reveal the culprits' identity, arrest the masterminds of the act and bring them before justice, offering his condolence to the relatives of the victims and to the Egyptian government and people, wishing the injured quick recovery.
