Algerian president announces revision of constitution

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has announced that a commission that will include experts in constitutional law was appointed to revise the country\'s constitution. The commission will make proposals and submit them to approval by the parliament or to the vote of the people by referendum, according to state media APS. Bouteflika had said he would make reforms in elections, parties, NGOs and press laws in a speech he delivered in April 2011.
