
The Iraqiya national coalition, led by Iyad Allawi, launched an initiative under the title "We are all against terrorism " in the presence of all the members of the Coalition . Allawi, in a press conference held on Sunday 5, Jan. mentioned the terms of the National Initiative , which includes " withdrawal of the army and armed forces from cities and towns , stop armed operations by tribesmen and citizens and bring the police force to save the Homeland Security, according to its duty in Constitution and begin implementing the legitimate demands of the demonstrators and the peaceful protesters " . He called to "release all innocent detainees and stop media escalation and provocative statements and exercise maximum restraint, as well as compensate the affected civilians and members of the clans and the martyrs and wounded of the armed forces ." Allawi called for the formation of a joint committee of government, the political forces, tribes, representatives of the demonstrators and protesters to oversee the proposals contained in the initiative, and make sure that the initiative matches with the Constitution. " He also called to respect the Constitution and commit to implement its provisions relating to the immunity of members of the House of Representatives or the lifting it from them , and the abolition of all illegal actions and the consequences of the violation of the Constitution. " He said , "The aim of the initiative is to stop bloodshed of the sons of the tribes , the army and the armed forces , and to defuse the crisis , and maintain the fabric of national unity , and defeat discrimination and terrorism in all its forms.
