The Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby on Saturday traveled to Vienna on a multi-day visit, during which he is due to hold talks with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger on regional developments. El-Araby will also meet with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano to discuss increasing the organization’s technical support for Arab countries in the peaceful use of nuclear power. El-Araby said he would contact a number of international personalities and organizations to explain that Egypt’s protests of June 30 was a popular movement and not a military coup. He also urged world countries, the United Nations and regional and international organizations to understand the exceptional circumstances in Egypt, and to support the country in order to move through the current interim phase.
