The Spanish minister voiced his country’s deep concern over the crisis in Syria, adding Bashar Al-Asad still has a chance to step down and leave the country. He said at a news conference after the meeting that Al-Assad can not be a part of the democratic transition in Syria. Margallo urged the Syrian Opposition to unite, pointing to the upcoming Syrian opposition’s meeting to be held soon in Cairo.
