Arab League demands removing Al Quds placard raised by Israeli representative in UN

The Arab League (AL) expressed its rejection of raising a placard by representative of the Israeli government in the United Nations depicting Al Quds (occupied eastern Jerusalem) as the spiritual capital of the Jewish people.
In a statement issued on Monday, the AL considered this act as a violation to the international rules and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that reject the illegitimate annexing of the city and the Israeli sovereignty on it.
The AL reiterated that the international conventions condemn all attempts of tarnishing the identity of the city.
The pan-Arab organization called the Arab and Islamic countries to remove the placard urgently.
