The Arab League praised on Monday Qatari efforts that support joint Arab work, particularly supporting the Palestinian issue especially when it comes to their UN statehood bid. Speaking to the press today, the Arab League\'\'s Undersecretary-General ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli said that the State of Qatar is doing a much-appreciated effort on the diplomatic front to support the Arab issues in general, something which Helli said the Arab League \"appreciates\". He added that the Qatari diplomacy is acclaimed on the regional and international front. Evidence of this, he added, is that Qatar heads the Arab Peace Initiative and the General Assembly of the United Nations, which Helli believed will add great benefit to the Arab efforts for establishing a Palestinian State. Bin Helli said that efforts are now on going to continue supporting the Palestinian bid, particularly by the Arab Peace Initiative led by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani . Touching on the incidents in Syria, He said that there is a constant communication between the Arab League and the Syrian administration to discuss the situation. He also criticized the increased number of killings in Yemen and called on all involved to exercise restraint.
