The Arab League (AL) has fully welcomed a UNESCO resolution on "Occupied Palestine", following a Palestinian initiative.
This historic resolution about Al Quds and Muslim holy sites expresses the Palestinian and Arab right to Al Quds, which is backed by law and international legitimacy resolutions, said Saeed Abu Ali, the Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and occupied Arab lands.
In a statement on Friday, Abu Ali thanked all friendly states that supported truth through approving the Arab, Palestinian initiative.
The resolution is a victory for "right and truth" and it dismisses Israeli allegations about Al Quds and Muslim holy sites, read the statement.
