The Arab Ministerial Council called for stopping all types of normalizing relations with Israel, in the extraordinary ministerial meeting held in the Arab League headquarters in Cairo and chaired by Lebanon. They also agreed to form an Arab committee that will visit Gaza in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The committee will include representatives from Iraq, the summit’s chair, and a representative from Lebanon, Chair of Ministerial meetings as well as the Foreign Minister of Palestine and the Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Elaraby. On the Israeli efforts to Judaize Al Quds, the ministers stressed on that Al Quds is an Arab city and denounced the Israeli actions taking place in the city. They also demanded an immediate end to illegal Israelis settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories. They also agreed on establishing a new committee that will be responsible for re-evaluating the Arab position from the peace process and the feasibility of the Arab Initiative for Peace. The Ministerial Council also called for the political Palestinian factions to go through with their reconciliation agreement signed in Cairo on May 4 2011 as well as what was agreed in Doha in 2012. They also offered their backing to Egyptian efforts to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian resistance movements. They also called on Arab countries to provide urgent humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
