Head of the Arab Parliament Ahmed Mohamed al-Jarawan has proposed setting up a relief fund to help Syrian refugees. \"I will refer the proposal to the Parliament in its second session on February 6-7,\" Jarawan said in a statement, urging Arab states to stand by Syrian refugees stranded on Syria\'s borders with Jordan, Iraq and Turkey or residing in refugee camps in Syria\'s neighbouring countries. Jarawan specifically mentioned Syrian refugees in Jordan\'s Zaatary encampment who are enduring near sub-zero temperatures in the worst winter weather to hit the Middle East in a decade. He praised the $10 mln Saudi grant to the refugees there. The Arab Parliamentarian concluded by urging all Arabs to help Syrians overcome their plight.
