Army: Will not do police work in Port Said

The Egyptian military will not do police work in Port Said, spokesman Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali told reporters on Friday. Ali added that people in Port Said forming groups of vigilantes to protect property and clean the city in cooperation with military forces. Earlier, army elements were deployed around the building of security department and the governorate office. Ali also expressed thanks to Port Said for cooperation with the 2nd Field Army troops to maintain security and stability in the restive city.
