Assassination attempt on Iraqi governor, 2 dead 3 wounded

The Governor of Iraq\'s Mosul province Atheel al-Nujaifi has escaped an assassination attempt that left 2 people killed and 3 others wounded, officials said. Mosul Governor\'s Office spokesman Ali Mahmoud spoke to Anadolu Agency and said a car bomb went off next to the motorcade including the governor\'s official car in the eastern part ofMosul. Mahmoud said the governor escaped the assassination unhurt but two civilian passers-by died and 3 security guards were injured. Assassination attempts on Mosul Governor Nujaifi took place previously as well.
