At least 4 killed in Iraq attacks

Bombings in Iraq killed at least four people, among them two soldiers, and wounded at least six other people on Sunday, security and medical officials said. A magnetic "sticky bomb" attached to a minibus exploded in Sadr City in north Baghdad, killing two people and wounding six, an interior ministry official said, while a medical source put the toll at three dead and eight wounded. And in the north Iraq city of Mosul, a roadside bomb killed two soldiers when it exploded near their patrol, army First Lieutenant Walid Hammoud and Dr Mahmud Haddad said. The latest violence brings the number of people killed this month to at least 173, while more than 670 have been wounded in attacks, according to an AFP tally based on security and medical sources. Violence in Iraq is down from its peak in 2006 and 2007, but attacks are still carried out almost every day.
