Australian authorities aid another asylum seekers boat

Australian authorities have responded to a distress call from another asylum seekers\' boat off Christmas Island, local media reported on Tuesday.Two merchant vessels and a navy ship have responded after the Australian Maritime Safety received a distress call from the boat with 105 people on board on Sunday evening, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported.Crew from HMAS Bundaberg, the patrol ship of the Royal Australian Navy, got on the boat Monday morning and found its engine had failed and there was little food or water on board.The 105 passengers were transferred onto the navy ship and taken to the island for health and security checks.In a separate incident, two asylum seekers drowned and another three were injured after big waves capsized the asylum seekers\' boat off Christmas Island on Monday.An Australian Customs vessel rescued more than 90 people from the water. They were later transferred to Christmas Island for health and security checks.A total of 53 asylum seekers\' boats have been intercepted in Australian waters so far in 2013, according to the ABC.
