Azerbaijan and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) signed a Young Professional Program cooperation agreement, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday. The agreement will allow young Azerbaijani specialists to work in the UNESCO Secretariat and gain international experience. The Program is geared specifically for candidates from unrepresented or under-represented countries in the UNESCO Secretariat. The eligibility of a Member State is determined at the date of the call for applications. This program provides 10 recent college graduates and young professionals under the age of 30 with the opportunity to start a career in an international organization. In 2013 the Government of Azerbaijan and UNESCO signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture and communication
