
Bahrain's Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa met here today with the visiting Turkish counterpart Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu. During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways of bolstering them in various domains and reviewed the situation in the region . Bahrain's Prime Minister called for a Gulf -Turkish convergence as a strategic choice and a necessity imposed by the rapid developments regionally and internationally and challenges in the region, which he said would require coordination and cooperation to promote stability and prosperity, as Turkey carries international weight which makes it an influential factor in security and international peace . For his part, Davutoglu affirmed Turkey's keenness to achieve such convergence, saying "The security of the Gulf, especially Bahrain is an important element and an active player in the entire region.
