
The Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU) will convene for its 20th conference, set to be held on Sunday and Monday (Jan19-20) in Kuwait. Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani will lead Bahrain's delegation to the pan-Arab session.Parliament First Deputy Chairman Abdulla bin Khalaf Al-Dosari will tomorrow (Friday) head to Kuwait to attend the 13th session of the (AIPU) executive committee –ahead of the 20th (AIPU) conference.The agenda of the conference features key issues, particularly the election of the (AIPU) president, the report of the secretary-general and "Jerusalem as capital of the Palestinian State". The opening session will be held on Saturday under the aegis of Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.Led by Mr. Al-Dhahrani, the delegation includes Parliament First Deputy Chairman Abdulla bin Khalaf Al-Dosari, Shura Council members Ahmed Behzad, Hamad Al-Nuaimi and Ali Al-Asfoor and MPs Dr. Jassim Al-Saidi, Abdulhakim Al-Shammari, Adnan Al-Malki and other officials.
