
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Works Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf who introduced to him Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Toru Doi and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Shigeki Sumi.He welcomed them, wishing them success in the "Japanese Technologies for Water Environment and Sewerage" forum which is organised by the Works Ministry in coordination with the Japanese embassy.An elite of Japanese experts from the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry will spotlight in specialised workshops the best solutions to clean Tubli Bay.Shaikh Khalid underlined strong relations with Japan and both countries' keenness to further bolster them through exchanging visits. He also discussed with Mr. Toru ways of availing of the Japanese experiences in the environment and technical fields as well as collective transportation.On their part, the Japanese delegation expressed happiness about visiting Bahrain and taking part in the forum, lauding Bahrain's infrastructure development. He also expressed hope the forum would come up with solutions to clean Tubli Bay and promote a healthy environment in Bahrain.Mr. Toru also praised strong ties binding Bahrain and Japan, underlining his country's keenness to further cement bilateral economic relations for the best interest of both countries and peoples. He invited Shaikh Khalid to visit Japan.The meeting was attended by Works Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Sewerage Khalifa Al Mansour, Japanese Commercial Attache to Bahrain Hiroyuki Mitsui and senior officials.
