
Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the British Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay.Shaikh Mohammed reviewed with Ambassador Lindsay the steadily-growing Bahraini-UK ties of friendship and cooperation.He expressed sincere thanks to the Ambassador for the letter addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa by the UK Prime Minister David Cameron in which he lauded HM the King's wise leadership and initiatives to implement reforms in Bahrain over the past decade, described the establishment of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) as an unprecedented move and asserted that comprehensive and sustainable reform needed time in order to be fully implemented.The Deputy Premier praised the UK's rejection and denunciation of all forms of terrorism.He also discussed with the British envoy the entry procedures of Bahraini citizens into the UK.He welcomed Britain's great participation in the Bahrain International Aishow (BIAS), set be held here in the second half of this month.The latest regional developments and their impacts on the region's security and stability were also spotlighted.
