
In accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the French President, Francois Hollande, during HM the King's recent visit to Paris on 23 July 2013, Bahraini-French Joint Committee was agreed to be established. The first meeting of the Bahraini-French Joint Committee was held today in Manama, under the chairmanship of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah and Director of the Department on the Middle East and North Africa of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Ambassador Jean-Francois Giraud. The two parties discussed topics on the agenda, and hailed the growing political, economic, cultural and educational relations between the two countries. They agreed to the Committee's work program aims at broadening bilateral cooperation through exchanging experiences in media, educational, cultural areas and promoting development and investment.
