
Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani, affirmed the deep-rooted relation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and France in the legislative, legal and economic fields. He praised the bilateral relations at all levels and welcomed intensifying parliamentary cooperation and exchanging legal and legislative expertise and benefiting from France and European Union’s accumulated experiences.Al-Dhahrani pointed out the legislative council could benefit from the French expertise in the areas of drafting laws and regulations, as well as coordinating stances in international forums so as to enhance cooperation and communication between the two countries.This came as Al-Dharani received today the Bahraini-French Friendship Society (BFFS) delegation, Led by the BFFS's Deputy Chairman and member of the Defense and National Forces Committee (DNFC) of the French National Assembly MP Michel Voisin, DNFC's Deputy Chairman, Foreign Affairs Committee's member MP Jean-Luc Retzer, BFFS' Executive secretary Pascal Marchin and French Ambassador to Bahrain Christian Tiesto.The French lauded the growing bilateral legislative and economic relations, welcoming the exchange of parliamentary visits at all levels.The meeting was also attended by member of Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Bahrain-French Friendship delegation MP Abdulrahman Bumjeed, MP Sawsan Taqawi, MP Abdulhameed Al-Meer, MP Ahmed Al-Saati and a number of the House's officials.
