Bahraini housing minister meets Russian president\'s personal representative

Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar met today Personal Representative of the Russian President and Board Chairman of Gazprom Victor Zubkov who is on a visit to Bahrain to attend Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2014.Russian President to Bahrain Victor Smirnov and Housing Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Projects Sami Abdullah Buhazza also attended the meeting.Discussions focused on strong bilateral ties binding the two friendly countries and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the housing field.The Housing Minister spotlighted Bahrain's housing strategy, which dates back to more than fifty years, and the government's efforts to provide citizens with decent housing by carrying out major projects in partnership with the private sector.He stressed keenness on cooperation with the relevant Russian companies to avail of their experiences in the housing field.On his part, the Russian official expressed appreciation of Bahrain's housing policy and the leadership and government's efforts in this respect.
