
The Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman, led a high-level governmental delegation, embarking on a visit to the friendly Republic of South Korea in response to an official invitation from the friendly Republic, to boost bilateral cooperation and coordination and exchanging of expertise in human rights and administrative fields. The delegation, led by the Minister, comprises representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the Public Prosecution. The Bahraini delegation is scheduled to meet senior officials in the Republic of South Korea, including ministers and community leaders and organizations concerned with consolidating the principles of justices, the law and human rights affairs. The delegation will avail of this visit to inform Korean officials about progress accomplished in terms of reform, democratization and human rights under the wise leadership of HM the King, particularly modernization of legislative setup related to human rights. The delegation will also inform officials in the friendly Republic about latest developments of the situations in Bahrain in terms of democratization and human rights and current constructive steps being taken by all the official competent bodies in consolidating sustainable national solutions to ensure the advancement of the on-going democratization and reform processes in Bahrain. The delegation also shall inform their counterparts in the friendly Republic of Korea about ways and means for boosting bilateral cooperation and benefiting from the advanced administrative Korean expertise in developing institutional capabilities. This visit comes as part of a series of previous visits exchanged between senior officials in Bahrain and the Republic of Korea.
