
HM the King's Personal Representative and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Bahrain International Air Show (HOCBIAS), Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today chaired a meeting on the final preparations for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) in its third edition, to be held under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Jan 16-18 2014.HOCBIAS' Chairman was briefed on the final preparations taken to make this Air Show successful, under MH the king's directives and the HOCBIAS' Chairman's follow-up, including the final preparations of the organizing committees, receiving high-level civil and military delegations, citizens and visitors' safety plans during the event period, participants and audience reception, recreational programs and services provided.He highlighted the importance making this event successful to a level equivalent to the successful levels previously attained and accentuating Bahrain's capability in the aviation industry shows, noting HM the King's support and directives that have assisted in reaching such successful levels.Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, Kamal bin Ahmed, said the 2014 BIAS has achieved a world-wide reputation in a short time, where 108 international companies will be hosted this year, noting the wide international median interest to cover the event activities.He added that 22 000 visitors from all over the world are expected to be seen in Bahrain to pursue the action.
