Bahraini minister of interior meets UN official

Bahraini Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa met here today with the visiting Deputy Secretary General for United Nations, and Executive Director of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Yury Fedotov . During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation and coordination between Ministry of Interior and the International Organization on combating drugs through developing the legislation and mechanisms of combating crime and reducing its rates , Bahrain News Agency(BNA) reported.The minister also briefed U.N. Deputy Secretary General on Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts in the area of combating crime with all its forms, as well as the role of the organization in supporting it, and benefiting from the international expertise and experiences in this regard.
