Bahraini monarch meets former US treasury secretary

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa , the Deputy King and Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain conferred here on Tuesday with former US treasury secretary professor Lawrence Summers who is currently visiting Manama. Talks during the meeting dealt with a number of national, regional and international issues. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain left here on Monday for New York at the head of Bahrain\'\'s delegation to attend the 66th UN General Assembly session, scheduled for opening there later today. The King will give a speech before the General Assembly focusing on the international situation and the peace process in the Middle East as well as the Palestinian cause.
