Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has warned of attempts to make Bahrain a platform for political adventure by dragging it into sedition and conflicts in order to undermine its security and stability for non-national whims and purposes, affirming that such malicious endeavours will never succeed and that the kingdom is strongly resolved to bring the situation back to normal or even better. \"We are fully capable of that thanks to the strong determination of both the wise leadership and the people to maintain the success of the national march and optimize the milestone national achievements,\" he said, emphasizing that \"there never will be a going back.\" Speaking as he received here today a number of citizens, HRH Premier expressed displeasure over illegal practices that use democracy and the freedom of expression as a pretext, which, he said, are unacceptable and rejected inside and outside the kingdom, expressing hope that such calls that harm national interests are ignored. HRH Prime Minister underlined that democracy will not work properly without respect of the law and order and in the absence of regulations that protect it from being used a pretext to violence and tempering with national interests, lauding what has been attained so far thanks to the democratic march in the kingdom, citing the fruitful cooperation between the constitutional institutions, in particular, that of the executive and legislative branches, as well as the role played NGOs. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of not exploiting the citizens\' voices for political ends, hailing the citizens\' awareness showcased through their rejection of some non-national agendas. HRH Premier recalled with pride the vital role played by writers, journalists and media persons to enlighten the public opinion on national issues, pinpoint shortcomings and help officials to discover them and address them. \"We always accept all opinions that contribute to the nation-building and development process whole-heartedly, and appreciate all those who serve the homeland irrespective of their position or role,\" he said, expressing keenness to follow up on all citizen-oriented issues, even the least important ones. \"What concerns us most is the citizens\' satisfaction,\" he confirmed. HRH Premier pointed out that the on-going regional challenges require more vigilance and unified official and public stances, particularly through activating the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to move from cooperation to unity among GCC states, in order to foil all threats and fortify the entity against them in the present and the future.
