Bahraini state foreign affairs minister meets FAO director-general

 Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ghanim bin Fadhl Al-Buainain on Wednesday received the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Director General Jose Graziano Da Silva, and his accompanying delegation.Present at the meeting was the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Dr Jum'a bin Ahmed Al Ka’bi.The Minister ofpraised the Organisation’s efforts to achieve world food security citing its drive to get rid of hunger, malnutrition and poverty in the world.AL-Buainain praised the ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the organisation in relation to developing the agriculture, animal and fisheries sectors in the Kingdom.The Director-General praised the keenness of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the policies of the Kingdom of Bahrain and constant cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organisation through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office in Bahrain.The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of Agriculture and Marine Resources of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa.
