
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Buainin conveyed today the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Chinese President's meeting with Heads of the GCC delegations to the 3rd ministerial meeting for the GCC-China Strategic Dialogue.The Chinese President lauded strong relations of friendship between Bahrain and China and their development in various fields, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity under its leadership.The GCC delegation to the ministerial meeting was headed by Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, the President of the current GCC Ministerial Council's session.GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani also attended.The State Minister for Foreign Affairs attended the signing of the joint work plan between the GCC countries and China. He also met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, stressing keenness on cooperation with the Chinese companies in building 40,000 new housing units in Bahrain, in line with the directives of HM the King. He also pointed out the Chinese companies' contribution to developing Bahrain International Airport.
