The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will arrive in Abu Dhabi on Sunday on a short official visit to the UAE, the first leg of a tour that includes also Ethiopia, Austria and Switzerland, UN Spokesperson Martin Nesirky announced. In Addis Ababa, Ban Ki-moon will attend the signing ceremony of the Comprehensive Framework Agreement intended to restore peace in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Austria, he will hold talks with President Heinz Fischer and senior government officials and take part in the 5th Global Forum - UN Alliance of Civilizations, due to be held in Vienna on Wednesday. In Geneva, the European headquarters of the UN, the UN Secretary-General will participate in the high-level panel discussion hosted by the UN Human Rights Council. He will also deliver lecture marking the annual anniversary of the killing of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General’s Representative in Iraq Sérgio Vieira de Mello in 2003.
