
Egyptian interim Vice President Dr. Mohamed Elbaradei has received a telephone call from United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The Egyptian Middle East News Agency (MENA) said during the contact the two men discussed efforts being made by the Egyptian authorities to halt all forms of violence in streets and the need for the participation of all parties in the roadmap as well as the Egyptian people’s enjoyment of their rights and freedoms regardless of their religious or political affiliation. A press release issued by the presidency said Dr. Elbaradei asserted during the contact that the political roadmap will achieve the Egyptians’ aspired objectives.
