Barak refuses cuts in defense budget

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that while committed to transparency in managing military spending, he will not allow any cuts in defense budget whether in military exercises sector or other sectors. \"Priorities for the Ministry of Defense are dealing with regional developments and long term planning to address potential risks and strategic challenges threatening security of Israel,\" Barak said in a statement to Israeli radio today.
