Belgium’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders visited Turkish province of Sanliurfa and attended the opening ceremony of a prefabricated school with 12 classrooms. During his speech at the ceremony, Reynders stated that Belgium’s first goal is to stop the bloodshed in Syria and added that the government of Belgium is trying to find a political solution to the current state of crisis in Syria. The event coordinator Governor Veysel Dalmaz also gave a speech and underlined that Turkey did not and will not remain silent about the crisis in Syria. “Seeing people in Syria buried under bombs and wrecks is painful for Turkey. People working in the aid camps and outside the camps are doing something truly legendary,” said Dalmaz.
