Belgian police are conducting an investigation after a terrorist attack on a Muslim mosque in the capital Brussels killed a religious leader, and left two other people injured. Spokesman for the public prosecutor's office Jean-Marc Meilleur said on Tuesday that the suspect, an immigrant in his thirties, is being questioned by police over the incident, AFP reported. The suspect has so far produced three different sets of identification papers and it has been determined that he has been living in Belgium illegally. The media claims he is a Moroccan national. Meilleur added that the suspect has told investigators he set the Shia place of worship ablaze to scare the community. Abdallah Dadou, a 46-year-old father of four children aged 4 to 17, died of smoke inhalation on Monday night after an arsonist set fire to the Rida Shia mosque in the Brussels neighborhood of Anderlecht. Dadou was found on the second floor of the building after the fire was put out. He was treated at the scene but could not be saved. Belgium's Muslim community was in shock as the news of deadly attack on the Shia mosque in Anderlecht broke.
